From Photograph to Textile

I create one-of-a-kind embroidered portraits, textile artworks and one-off commissioned pieces, from photographs, memories, vintage pieces and stories.

Using a combination of drawing, hand and free-machine embroidery, appliqué, reclaimed and new fabrics, I build each piece slowly, layer by layer, capturing not just a likeness, but something of the personality, clothing, surroundings and memories associated with the subject.

A commission might celebrate a person, a family, a much-loved home, a garden, a special occasion or a moment-in-time that you want to remember.

 Every piece is individually designed and hand stitched, making it uniquely yours.
